"The best tribute album I have ever heard"
Roddie Cleere KCLR Radio
In 2010 Courtesy Of released an unplugged album as a tribute to Thin Lizzy and legendary singer Phil Lynott.
The album was recorded in Stockholm and in Prague, partly in collaboration with The Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Produced and arranged by Lasse Andersson. The album features unique versions of some of Thin Lizzy's classics, such as The boys are back in town, Jailbreak and Dancing in the moonlight, as well as one of Phil Lynott´s poems, interpreted by the famous Swedish actor Peter Stormare.
“At the age of 12, I saw Thin Lizzy for the first time. I was euphoric!
I decided, then and there, that I would be a musician for the rest of my life. I am, if you ask me, a true Lizzy nerd” Joakim Amorell
One of the trademarks of Courtesy Of is to re-arrange pop/rock/blues songs.
“We didn’t want to fall into the traditional cover band category by just
playing the songs straight off, so a lot of effort went into the
arrangements. We wanted to surprise ourselves and our public and at the same time experience really great songs in a new presentation.
